Cyclists Touring Club (CTC)
CTC is the leading organisation in the UK campaigning for cyclists' rights. CTC played a key part in the creation of the National Cycling Strategy and continues to lobby government, local authorities and other agencies to promote, invest in and facilitate cycling.

Sustrans: National Cycle Network

Slower Speeds Initiative
The Slower Speeds Initiative is a joint campaign of the Children's Play Council, Cyclist's Touring Club, Environmental Transport Association, Pedestrians' Association, Pedestrians' Policy Group, Road Danger Reduction Forum, RoadPeace, Sustrans and Transport 2000. They believe that lower traffic speeds will bring important community benefits by: improving road safety; reducing noise, stress, pollution and fuel consumption; and encouraging cycling, walking and public transport.

Vehicle Certification Agency 'New Car Fuel Consumption & Emission Figures' website
The purpose of this website is to inform buyers of new cars how they can reduce the impact of their vehicle on the environment and to identify the vehicle excise duty on individual vehicles based on their environmental impact. The vehicle database provides details of the fuel consumption, exhaust pollution levels and noise levels of most new petrol and diesel cars on sale in the UK, as well as the appropriate Vehicle Excise Duty (VED).
