Background

This Plan of Action represents the next step forward in the process of river basin planning in the Scotland River Basin District. The report sets out:

• The important steps to be taken to prepare the first River Basin Management Plan for the Scotland River Basin District;
• Consultation points in the plan preparation process;
• Opportunities for people to get involved in and contribute to the process; and
• Some of the methods that will be used to support participation, effective consultation and information provision throughout the process.
