A Plan of Action - Solway Tweed River Basin Planning

(Closed 22nd June 2007)

Background

SEPA and the Environment Agency are responsible for implementing and co-ordinating river basin planning in the Solway Tweed River Basin District. River basin planning requires a partnership approach, involving the right people, in the right way and at the right time.

The Solway Tweed Plan of Action sets out our plans for engaging people and fulfils our statutory requirement to produce a Statement of Steps and Consultation Measures.

The Plan of Action describes:

  • Stakeholders who we want to involve in river basin planning;
  • The ways in which you can influence the river basin planning work;
  • The way we will work with existing groups;
  • The key documents that we will produce;
  • How we will link with other planning processes; and
  • The river basin planning process and time scales set out in the Solway Tweed Regulations.
