Be flood prepared

Everyone should be prepared for river and coastal flooding in Scotland, whether you are a householder or a business.

You may believe that flood preparation isn’t something you need to think about: perhaps you live or work in an area that hasn’t been flooded before, or you live above ground level. But, don’t forget, roads leading to and from your home or workplace may get blocked by water. Power and water supplies may be cut. Or you may have friends or neighbours who would appreciate your help preparing for flooding.

It is a fact that we’ve been experiencing more frequent floods in Scotland over recent years.  No one can stop flooding from happening, but good preparation and flood defences can limit the devastating impact it can have on your home or business.
