The Green Book is the monitoring manual for the UK National Marine Monitoring Programme. It contains a list of sites monitored and the relevant competent monitoring authoring at each site.  The manual provides details of sampling requirements for sediments, biota and waters and tests to be completed on the relevant samples.  The required accuracy and precision of the tests is detailed and reporting requirements are outlined.
