SEPA launches updated Website in Environment Week

To mark Environment Week, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) is launching its updated Website (address http://www.sepa.org.uk ).

The Website has been completely redesigned, and will go live on 13 May. This is the first stage in a planned expansion of the site to include a broader range of information. New subject areas and new publications (such as the Scottish Bathing Water Quality Report - see below) will be added in the coming weeks.

Included in the information currently available are:

From now on, SEPA will post its major publications, scientific reports and other environmental data on the site, making information about Scotland’s environment easily accessible to the increasing number of people who use the Internet.

SEPA Information Scientist Alison Mackinnon sees the redesigned site as a major opportunity for SEPA provide information about the environment:

"We hope people who access the SEPA site will agree that the new design helps make the information posted on our site more easily accessible as well as more attractive. We would welcome comments on the content and style of the site, and suggestions for other materials which might usefully be posted."
