SEPA Publishes 1998/99 Corporate Plan

SEPA publishes its third Corporate Plan today covering the period 1998/99 to 2001/02.

The Plan sets out what SEPA intends to achieve both within the organisation and for the environment of Scotland over the next few years. It highlights the importance of SEPA's recently launched Environmental Strategy in shaping future plans, using the principles of sustainable development.

In launching the Plan, SEPA's Chief Executive, Mr Alasdair Paton said:

I am confident that this Corporate Plan, together with our important new Environmental Strategy document, will ensure that SEPA leads the way for Scotland in providing a safe, clean and sustainable environment for its people.
