SEPA Launches Dounreay Research Report

SEPA today published a literature survey reviewing radionuclide discharges from the Dounreay and Vulcan nuclear establishments, environmental monitoring and modelling of the behaviour of radionuclides in the Dounreay environment, local agricultural and fisheries practices and, radionuclide research studies carried out in this environment. The study was commissioned by Her Majestys Industrial Pollution Inspectorate of The Scottish Office Environment Department and summarises all recent environmental monitoring data up to the beginning of 1996.
A summary of the report is available on our web site and copies are held in all SEPA libraries. All subsequent environmental monitoring data published by SEPA is available in Radioactivity in Food and the Environment, published annually.
