SEPA West Regional Board Meeting, 15 November 2002

The West Regional Board of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) will be holding its next meeting at SEPA East Kilbride office, on 15 November 2002. The meeting is open to members of the public, unless otherwise resolved by the Board, and the papers will be available after the meeting on the SEPA website.
Issues in this Board’s papers include:
- Sewerage embargo in East Kilbride
- Fish kill in River Gryfe at Crosslee
- Dumfries and Galloway Catchment Management Project
- Spreading of Sewage sludge in Ayrshire
The Regional Board’s general responsibilities include:
- advising on the development of the business plans for the region,
- the generation and implementation of local initiatives for the environment
- advising on applications that have major effects on the local area.
Regional Board members also play an important role in promoting the work of SEPA.
