2 Strategic Framework and Drivers for Change

2.1 Introduction

The purpose of this chapter is to summarise a number of key drivers and influences which set the context for the Area Waste Plan and which will impact on the future of waste planning and management in the North East. Figure 3 summarises the significant partner organisations, drivers and mechanisms for change, which are described in more detail in Annex 3.
