This section summarises key drivers and influences that set the context for the Area Waste Plan (AWP) and will impact on future waste planning and management in Western Isles. Figure 2.1 summarises the most significant partner organisations, drivers and influences. The most significant drivers are described in detail – further information on the mechanisms can be found in Annex 3.
