5.7 Linking to the National Waste Plan

The National Waste Plan for Scotland will set out a strategy to manage Scotland’s waste in a sustainable manner. The AWPs will help deliver some of this strategy. How the AWPs collectively meet the objectives of the national plan will be described in the National Plan. Many of the actions described in the National Plan will be cascaded down into the AWPs. The future development of both the National and Area Waste Plans will be clearly linked, with the actions and activities contained in each, informing the other.
