Waste Minimisation

It should be recognised that waste is one part of resource efficiency savings (water, energy and waste) and the total potential saving a company can make is much greater. Generally, resource efficiency projects have proven that savings can amount to as much of 1% of turnover. This demonstrates that apart from the environmental gain there are good economic reasons for business to address their waste production.

SEPA’s Waste Minimisation team provides advice to a wide range of businesses, from small retail outlets to large manufacturing companies, on how to achieve significant cost savings and environmental benefits by addressing waste minimisation on their own premises.
