Guidance
SEPA has led projects or contributed to the development of
guidance on strategic environmental assessment (SEA).
SEA guidance on air, soil and water
A SEA
guidance website has been developed by SEPA as a
partnership project between Scotland and Northern Ireland Forum For
Environmental Research (SNIFFER), SEPA, the Northern Ireland
Environment Agency (NIEA) and the Department of Environment
(DOENI). The website aims to provide practical guidance for SEA
practitioners in Scotland and Northern Ireland on how to take into
account the potential significant environmental effects of
implementing a plan, programme or strategy on the SEA topics of
air, soil and water.
Consideration of climatic factors within
SEA
This climatic
factors guidance is primarily aimed at SEA practitioners
undertaking assessment in Scotland and aims to encourage good
practice in the assessment of climatic factors within the SEA.
SEA Toolkit
The Scottish Government SEA
Toolkit provides comprehensive guidance on SEA in Scotland.
