This guidance has been developed with the assistance of the LGA, represented by YAHPAC, and the NSCA. This working draft of Part 1 "Regulating and Permitting" of the above Technical Guidance was available for public consultation until 2nd July 2001. Part 2 "Noise Assessment and Control" is currently in draft form and will be the subject of a separate consultation at a later date.

In common with most of the IPPC guidance it is joint guidance with the Environment Agency, SEPA and the Northern Ireland Environment and Heritage Service (NIEHS). It is hoped that the final version of IPPC H3 will be published by the end of December 2001.
