Note on 2004, 2005 and 2006 data extracts

There are three worksheets in the spreadsheet.  The first sheet (called SPRI emission) contains all non-radioactive emissions from all sites (IPPC, UWWTD, RSA) that have reported pollutants with emissions above the reporting thresholds. The second sheet (called Nuclear SPRI emissions) contains SPRI radioactive pollutant emissions from RSA regulated sites only. The third sheet (called SPRI+Nuclear emissions BRT) contains all sites (IPPC, UWWTD and RSA) that have emissions above zero but Below the Reporting Threshold (BRT).  The spreadsheet is protected from changes being made, but sorting and filtering of data is permissible.

The above spreadsheets do not contain companies that did not report any emissions above or below the reporting thresholds (i.e. closed or not operating that year).

2002 Reporting Year

Note on 2002 data

There is one worksheet in the spreadsheet called 2002 EPER. In 2002 the SPRI contained emissions that were collection for the purpose of fulfilling the reporting obligations under the European Pollutant Emissions Register (EPER) This was the first time in Scotland that emissions were collected at a National level in a consistent format. Only installations falling under Part A of the PPC (Scotland) Regulations were required to report. Radioactive and UWWTD emissions did not have to report.  The emissions and capacity thresholds were higher and the number of pollutants lower in 2002 than in 2004. The spreadsheet is protected from changes being made, but sorting and filtering of data is permissible.

The spreadsheet includes 2002 emissions data and sites that reported emissions above the EPER reporting thresholds (that is, if a company reported no emissions then these are not included in the list). Installations did not have to report if they were Below the Reporting Threshold (BRT).
