Area Waste Plan
Each of the 11 waste strategy areas (WSA) has produced an Area
Waste Plan. This local approach to waste management planning and
delivery establishes a partnership approach to tackling sustainable
waste management. It also promotes open and transparent
decision making through proactive engagement with local communities
and reports on the extensive range of
waste activities taking place in the waste strategy area.
Sustainable waste activities in each WSA seek to prevent the
creation of waste, reduce its environmental impact, improve
resource efficiency, stimulate investment and maximise the economic
opportunities.
