Specific waste stream projects

Between 2001 and 2007, SEPA undertook studies on certain ‘priority waste streams’, selected because of their size, hazardous nature, potential for recycling, or value.

These Priority Waste Stream Projects were followed by National Best Practice Projects for industry sectors, which were part of a framework to address commercial and industrial wastes.

Both types of projects aimed to provide baseline data (Phase I) and to develop best practice guidance for industry (Phase II). Further information on the background and status of these projects is available via the links opposite.
