This site is no longer operational - a notice revoking the PPC Permit in its entirety was served on Scotgen (Dumfries) Ltd in August 2013. The revocation notice requires the removal of all waste from the permitted installation and the completion of certain works to investigate the potential for pollution over the period of operation and return the site to a satisfactory state. For further details on the reasons for service of the notice - see Site Status Report (V13) pdf link (91kb). Scotgen (Dumfries) Ltd went in to Administration in October 2013; works to ensure compliance with the permit revocation notice are being undertaken by the current site occupiers (on behalf of Scotgen’s Administrators). The site occupiers expect all waste to be removed from site by end of Sept 2014 and SEPA will continue to inspect this site to ensure compliance with the revocation notice until all works are complete and a “Certificate of completion” is issued.

Poor

Poor as a result of 2 gross breaches of numeric emission limits following incinerator bypass events. Despite generally good management performance two minor non-conformances were recorded on 'implementation of monitoring / testing / calibration programmes training'. Both issues will be addressed in 2013.
