Regulations and guidance

The following pieces of legislation are applicable when considering transfrontier shipment of waste:

EC Regulation 1013/2006 on shipments of waste, commonly referred to as the waste shipments regulation (1.5mb);
EC Regulation 1418/2007 concerning the export of certain waste to non-OECD countries (146k).

The UK Transfrontier Shipment of Waste Regulations 2007 detail the UK procedures, offences, penalties and relevant enforcement authorities.

The following two documents provide guidance on inspection criteria and treatment standards of used electrical goods and tyres.
