Getting involved

The consultation on the draft river basin management plan will begin on 22 December 2008.
This is your opportunity to get involved in the basin planning process in your area. Of particular relevance to you will be the North East Scotland area management plan, providing local detail on the health of the water environment in North East Scotland and how it can be maintained, and where necessary, improved.

The draft river basin management plan and the North East area management plan can be viewed on the RBMP home page

Please note that the deadline for responding to the consultation is 22nd June. Where possible, please respond by 22 March 2009 either in full or at least in the form of a summary setting out your principal comments and suggestions. This will help us plan the work we need to do to finalise the plan during the spring and summer of next year

Any queries, please contact the North East co-ordinator.
