River Basin Management Planning
- Area Advisory Group Forums: Getting Involved

River basin planning will reach beyond the National Area Group and the Area Advisory Groups (AAGs) and their members.

In the Scotland RBD each Area Advisory Group will have an Area Advisory Group Forum with a wide and open membership. The Forum offers an exciting opportunity for interested members of the public and stakeholders to be actively involved in the river basin planning process. In addition, the Area Advisory Group will also consider requests from Forum members to attend a meeting as an observer.

The Forum’s role in river basin planning is to assist and comment on the work of the Area Advisory Group. Forum members and others will be kept informed by information placed on the individual AAG pages of this website. This information will include:

  • agendas of AAG meetings;
  • the minutes of each meeting (once approved).

Forum members will be encouraged to become involved in river basin planning through:

It is intended that forum events will allow wider information dissemination and consultation throughout each of the sub-basin areas and during the entire river basin planning process.

Follow the links in the table at the bottom of this page for information on the different AAG Forums.

To receive more information and to be kept informed of what’s happening in river basin planning via email please register as a Forum member.
