What’s the Role of the Forum?

The Solway Tweed River Basin District covers a wide geographical area with diverse industries and communities. We want to provide the opportunity for everyone in the Solway Tweed River Basin District to contribute to river basin planning. To enable us to do this we will set up two Area Advisory Group Forums in the Solway Tweed River Basin District – one for the Solway and one for the Tweed sub basins.

Anyone who wishes to be involved in the Forums will be able to register their interest here. Those who have registered will receive regular updates on current activities and progress in river basin planning for the Solway Tweed River Basin District.

We want the forums to be more than a list of contacts and it is important that it provides a real opportunity for dialogue throughout the River Basin Planning process. One of the ways we can do this is to work with other partnerships and engagement processes; however, where necessary we may also hold conference style events at key points in the River Basin Planning process. We recognise that the format of the forum meetings and communications will need to be flexible in order to respond to the process underway and any changes that may be required as the river basin planning process develops.
