Notify SEPA about the management of radioactive waste from an incident
To notify SEPA, you need to:
- be the legal person in control of managing the radioactive waste;
- have a valid phone number and email address;
- know the location of the waste
You must submit separate notifications for each location.
There is no fee to make a notification.
If you have this information, it will take no longer than 5 minutes to complete the notification form.
It's quicker to make a notification online. If you can't do this or need help to do this, call us on 03000 99 66 99.
If you use British Sign Language (BSL), you can use the Contact Scotland BSL service to contact us using sign language.
After you notify us
Your notification details will be added to our register. Within 24 hours, you'll be sent an email containing your notification.
Your notification is valid for 60 days from the date of notification.
