Legislative framework

Part IIA of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (EPA) (‘Part IIA’), which came into force in July 2000, provides the legislative framework for the identification and remediation of contaminated land. From Monday 9 November 2020, marine finfish farm operators must apply to SEPA for permission to discharge medicine residues from wellboats.
